Our Story
POP Print & Design was established in 2013 in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Prior to this we didn’t actually provide printing services to our customers as we were graphic designers just the leaflets, business cards, menus etc. designs is what we did before POP! After years of customers asking about the printing side of things we bought our first wide format printer and started to produce posters and banners for our clients, after that we kept on buying more and more printers and equipment so it made sense to advertise this to the wider public…that’s when POP Print & design was born! Shortly after the purchase of our first wide format printer we invested in a digital printing production press and grew our customer base locally first in Leeds and then to surrounding areas although now we were a digital printing company more and more people wanted larger printing runs…
In late 2014 we amalgamated with an already established lithographic printing company and this increased our capacity to print large quantity orders for our customers…
In 2016 we were able to produce and introduce more product varieties to our offering, now across the whole of the north of England, with capacity at a much higher level we were able to negotiate cheaper delivery rates for our customers due to the amount of packages being dispatched, so we then introduced free next day delivery to customers all over the U.K mainland and it has been the same ever since.
In 2018 we tried our hardest to reduce our carbon footprint across all areas of the business by only using FSC paper stocks and making changes to our process across the board we were able to minimize our emissions but not quite to where we wanted to be by the end of that year…
But, by 2019 we were proud to say that with the use of 100% renewable electricity we had hit our targets (all be it slightly later than planned) we also hope to further reduce our indirect emissions by working with and influencing our suppliers to make the right changes for the environment…here’s to another marker on this timeline in the not too distant future!
